Summary:
Provides basic, direct patient care, taking into account specific needs as related to patient s age.
Assumes responsibility for care of patients and functions as a member of the health care team, taking direction and guidance from Registered Nurse.
All care is provided in compliance with and according to department policy/procedure and Standards of Care.
Essential Functions:
Participates in assessment of patient needs and communication with the health care team.
Participates in staff, patient and/or family education to a degree consistent with personal knowledge base.
Participates in unit Quality Improvement activities.
Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.
EDUCATION:
High School DiplomaREQUIREMENTS:
Previous Nursing Assistant experience and/or successful completion of two Registered Nurse accredited clinical courses and/or completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program preferred.
Certified in phlebotomy preferred.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Effective communication skills and basic math skills.
BLS certification required or completion of requirements for BLS certification within 90 days of hire to the unit.
Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
